When you have been doing things a certain way for a long time, you get kind of set in your way of doing it. When someone tries to get you to change that, even just a little, there is a part of stubborn you that is resistant. You don't try very hard to
learn but dig your heels in and see how long you can get away with 'your way'. Try and overcome that - be less stubborn and more coachable if you want to progress.
